I've noticed some questions about spool size on various models of typewriter - my ribbon was for a Smith-Corona Super G. And I figured from previous comments/questions that this spool would also be big (correct) for my machine, but the tape itself can be rewound (also correct) onto my existing spool. Like a tape - charges normally. The only "bad" point is that the tape itself prevents me from seeing what I'm typing. I would like a slightly thinner band so I can see the words as I type. If the seller could tell me the width of this band and if they had a thinner band I would give it a try.

Works great with my 1939 Royal Quiet De Luxe portable and my No. (I only rewind on original metal spools for "authenticity" and to get the plastic out of my machines.) You can get extra mileage from these black tapes by using the "red" lever from time to time flip over to meet the lower bands, and of course they wrap back and forth for reuse, unlike single hole carbon bands on today's machines.
