Love this helmet - Sport

I bought this helmet to replace my 3 year old Smith which was solid grey. The "wild" design doesn't go with my usual conservative outfit, but I love the wild zebra stripes and pink and blue decal.

Pros
  • Weight: 10 oz / 280 grams
Cons
  • Good but not great

Loudest Helmet - BMX

Very Loud at All Speeds. Comfortable, light and well-fitting helmet. But the noise is unbearable. I ran tests with two other high end road helmets side by side and the Smith Trace was the loudest. Wind noise drowns out the sound of an approaching car. I think it's a great helmet for gravel or mountain biking. But not on the street.

Pros
  • Fit: Vaporfit Adjustable Fit System, 18 Optimized Vents, Xt2 Performance Lining, Ultralight Single Layer Webbing
Cons
  • A Few Little Things
