Men's MTB Cycling Helmet - Smith Optics Forefront 2 MIPS Review

I'm just starting out with this helmet but am very impressed so far. The construction and attention to detail is very good. Easy to adjust and very comfortable seat. I thought it was a bit pricey but after buying and riding it I'm glad I made the purchase. Much better fit than previous helmets. Also, I feel like I have a good defense. No matter how much we spend on bikes and accessories, head insurance is a very good investment!

I bought the white helmet after buying the first generation Forefront helmet. This white starts to blotch on the white finish where some of the protective clear coat over the white peels away revealing a bare, flat white finish that is much easier for dirt to cling to. More aesthetic than anything else. I also love the Smith Forefront helmets. I still haven't found a flashlight or camera mount that says it actually works with the Forefront 2. I rode a mountain bike with a $250 bike helmet I bought 15 years ago. I loved this helmet and was afraid to change it because I didn't think I would like any other helmet as much. My wife always made fun of me wearing an MTB bike helmet. She gave me this for Christmas. This helmet is lightweight and has excellent ventilation. I don't even realize I'm wearing it. They are more durable than road bike helmets and have better protection at the back of the head.
