Poorly made. Craftsmanship wasn't an issue when they made this sharpening set.

I like the blacksmith but this set is complete crap. Poorly made and falls apart in a week. I literally put a beautiful stone on the countertop and the stone came loose. I am very disappointed with this kit.

Best system I've tried

Best system I've tried. Replaces the old version I had and is now in use on the boat. I highly recommend it. Only negative comment: I liked the old versions where the rods screwed into the hook as you can't pull the diamond blade when pulling it out. However, the new straight bars are easier to remove if you flip the knife over. This is a compromise.

Excellent sharpening system for precise sharpening.

Smith's Precision Sharpening Kit is easy to use. It can be used to restore the dullest edges on worn knife blades. If you pay attention to how you attach the knife to the device, it is very easy to refresh the knife blade. Worth the price. I've been using these for 20 years now. Great design. Follow the instructions and you'll be a pro in no time.
