Easy to sharpen: Hand tool

Scissor sharpener works well. Note that it only works with single-edged blades (like wire cutters), not double-edged tools. Works great with my secateurs, branch cutter and lawn mower blade.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

So my wife won't complain.

A little awkward to use, but I'm getting more experienced with each use. It sharpens the blades, but don't expect a cutting edge like a carving knife. It doesn't fit well between the blades of some small garden trimmers.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Keeps them sharp until the blade is damaged!

If I had only one complaint, I wish it was a straight pull, not a side pull. I find it difficult to align the tool properly when I pull the blade sideways. BUT if you can and go slow. This makes the blade nice and sharp. Keep in mind that if the blade is chipped or nicked/nicked, you may run into problems.

Pros
  • High test scores for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
