Great Starter Kit

This kit has all the components a beginner needs to get their hands dirty. The board in the kit isn't an Arduino (brand name), but it works the same way, so it won't impact any project you have in mind.

Product exactly as advertised

A well thought out set of components for the beginner or expert to get up and running quickly. I haven't worked with equipment for many years and haven't had the patience to tweak anything. I got acquainted with this kit in a few minutes and immediately started creating my first projects. I am very happy with this purchase.

I would like to bet 5 though.

Received my set and everything looks fine. Of course I haven't used everything yet, but I found 2 faulty components: a stepper motor and an ultrasonic sensor. The rest seems fine and works really well for me. So I can't give 5 stars but Smraza has done an excellent job with the libraries and the PDF (online or on CD), it's well explained, the diagram is clear and the examples are very helpful. I love it!

Recommended for beginners

Reasonable amount of components for the price and good selection to get you started with Arduino projects. There are a few components that I could upgrade, but to be honest it's no big deal. If you have the money and want to try your hand at Arduino, you should do this. NOTE: For those concerned that the Arduino is 'fake', all of their boards are open source, meaning technically anyone can make and sell them. You should take advantage of that and not be afraid of a brand you don't know. It…

Excellent value for money and quality. Outdated tutorials, most of them are good, some will waste your time.

This kit contains links to 40 tutorials. I would say do them all, it will help you get to know the board well. However, some of your parts do not match the tutorial parts description. Feel free to search the web for how to use some of these other parts, in some cases you will actually learn a lot more. However, I spend a little time finding tutorials that actually work rather than using ones that are supposed to work. However, this is only for a few and it is not really a problem. I would like…

I love this set and I think it's a good start.

I like this set and think it's a good starter set. There were no hardware problems. That's why I deducted a star: 1. Packaging. It appears to use the same standard plastic box as many of the other kits Smraza sells. In fact, there is much less in most other parts kits. So the box is tightly packed and it's difficult to find and pack things in it (I'm just starting to play with electronics so I don't have separate cabinets for small things so I prefer to keep them in a box) and closing the…
