The very poor quality of the layout spoils the fun.

Good set, but poor division spoils the fun (2 stars deducted). Some sockets hold the inserted wires well, but many don't result in poor contact and intermittent problems. Intermittent connections are frustrating. You really have to pay a few bucks more for a quality layout.

Pros
  • Complete set
Cons
  • Unfashionable

Lots of fun at a great price!

Super fun! SO SATISFYING to build a working circuit and program it with Arduino! Didn't realize it could only be powered by a USB cable so I foolishly waited until I had a 9V battery to play with. Couldn't believe it was all coming!

Pros
  • I hold my fists
Cons
  • Everything is fine

Upgrade from previous versions with better results.

Great company. They keep updating and improving the product. Have ordered a set twice and more. When I first ordered the kit, it came in a tight box. I had to use a spare tote bag, but that's okay. I couldn't complain as the price was very reasonable. When I ordered it a second time, I was amazed that not only was it cheaper than the first time, but it also came in a nice plastic case that was much larger than my original order.

Pros
  • Sequins
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Great product at a great price!

I really like this product, it offers a wide variety of electronic components to play with. It offers a programmable board that allows you to control the breadboard. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to learn about the basics of electricity or circuits.

Pros
  • It's fun
Cons
  • I'm having troubles

This is a great starter kit

I have little experience with Arduino and so far it has been easy and fun to learn. I bought a set of 30 sensors to increase my knowledge. I've done some home automation experiments and programming has been the steepest learning curve so far, but there are a number of very useful websites to learn from.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • too stupid

Hard Electronics/Circuit Kit

I received this kit a few weeks ago and am generally happy with it. a decent range of small touches to start working on various projects and everything I've played with so far seems to be working fine. + It really is a great value, especially when I'm still exploring what sets have to offer. + The product website also includes written instructions and visual images to help you put the project together, although it doesn't bother to teach you the general concepts. Luckily, I was able to putโ€ฆ

UPDATE STARTED: Support replied within 24 hours and refunded me $6 for the missing parts! Or they could send it to me in 20-30 days (Money back!) Super helpful and super fast which makes it 5 stars! Definitely! (the cat still loves all the ingredients, even the missing ones) : UPDATE END My cat loved it! However, I was actually missing some parts. The 7-segment display and the chip were missing. But the support was responsive (save the resistance's codemap) and they're getting it right! Andโ€ฆ

Great guide with step by step instructions

My 9 year old son is interested in learning simple electronic circuits. I bought it for breadboard, LEDs, switches and other components. I figured we'd have to wait a few years before delving into Arduino and programming. I was wrong waiting! He immediately wanted to try Arduino and now we're hooked. I'm fairly tech savvy but not a programmer or new to Arduino. This company has a well organized download with pictures, instructions and code. Each lesson is broken down into easy steps withโ€ฆ
