This is a stove lighter. Once you install it it will work and you will be very happy to fire up your stove again. It's just a detail you don't even think about until it fails and you can fire up your stove. The best thing about this igniter is its price, when I bought it was $22 and the original part for my GE XL44 ranges from $50 to $79 for one piece assuming you put it on yourself. I ordered this late Thursday evening and it arrived Saturday afternoon. I have a GE lineup that is about 4-5 years old. .2 screws hold the bottom of the oven.
