The toe box is really black, but the actual shoe looks better in person. Works true to size, bought them large for my son and they should last him a year with room in the front. The design of the socks is awesome because they are easy to put on, it took him a while to get used to the sock, he had to pull hard to put them on, but now he likes to wear his sneakers with socks.

I was afraid he would tear them in the toe area but they hold up well; They are easy for him to put on and he says they are comfortable. I will probably buy a few more pairs but in different colors. I'm glad I took the risk of buying it. I always measure from the top of the crown to the bottom of the heel and measure the widest part of the foot and then check the shoe size charts because I don't want to return stuff.
