Good Wood Screws - Fasteners

I don't know why the feedback section is asking me to rate their softness. I find it a bit silly. Anyway these are high quality fittings, the size listed is accurate and they work well. The materials and workmanship are excellent. They did their job and I'm happy with them. I would recommend them and buy this brand again.

Pros
  • Quantity: 500 #4 x 5/8" Screws
Cons
  • New Competitors

Exactly what I needed in size and quantity at an affordable price.

I needed about 260 screws of this size. The local hardware store wasn't even that size, plus the big box store only had packs of 25 and they would have cost a lot more. This pack of 500 was great and the quality seemed good. I used screws to install a recessed hole in the pilaster shelf bar and was surprised the size wasn't more affordable. The more common number 6 was too large and had its head sticking out.

Pros
  • Application: Wood
Cons
  • Expensive

Lots of good sharp screws

When it comes to screws of any kind, one of my favorite annoyances is that the heads are often not cut deep enough for a screwdriver. drill to grip and so I end up wasting screws. Heads on these fasteners SNUG (SNG139) 500pcs #4 x 5/8" Flat Zinc Plated Screws are good, sharp and deep, and while I've tested few, they've sold quickly. I've got them in fairly soft wood (pine) but no problem, plus they come in bulk in a nice plastic case with a tight lid, good quality as you'd expect from Snug.

Pros
  • Material: Zinc plated carbon steel
Cons
  • Can't remember
