Snugg Leather Stand Protective Cover Review

This model is thicker than the previous model, which is a plus for falling and a minus because it is bulkier/heavier. As others have stated in their reviews, you have to turn off the iPad or wait for it to turn itself off as closing the lid doesn't turn it off - no big deal. My iPad Air 3 fit perfectly. Since this Snugg has a pen holder and doesn't require an iPad Air, it's just there for free (if you had an iPad Pro, you'd use it for a pen). Snagg is soft and feels comfortable.

I have been buying and recommending Snugg cases for many years. I think this is a great product and love the quality and color choice. However, I bought this particular iPad case for my 10.5 inch iPad Pro, model MPF12LL/A, and found it to have a few issues, all due to the close proximity of the screen to the edge of the iPad. This is my second Snugg case so I knew I would love it. Fresh out of the box the body material was very stiff and it was difficult to get it even enough to close the lid. After removing the iPad and spending some time massaging the case material to soften it, the lid flattened out as intended. Additional softening of the pen loop was required so that it would not block the lid when closed. This is a good case with hinges that don't lose stability when folded.

I had an older Snugg iPad case and it worked really well, but after a few years the faux leather or something cracked and came loose where the case was folded . I liked it so much that I bought it for my iPad Air 3. The truth is that it just doesn't fit this model. iPad Air 3 is thinner and has a smaller bezel so you can see more of the screen. First of all, the product received does not match the image on the web. The side with the home button is fully exposed, unlike the image where only the home button is visible. Also, the hole feels wrong when in typing mode the top edge covers part of the screen and the fit just doesn't feel good. Since the product doesn't match the picture, I plan to return it and buy something else. Considering the cost of this case, this is very disappointing.
