I used it in the mountains where I had to walk through streams. For this purpose it works fine. I wouldn't use them as hiking shoes though. My only complaint is that small particles like sand can get into the shoe and irritate your feet. They drained very well but stayed quite wet so I had to turn them off at the end of the day and let them dry even though they were last used in the water a few hours ago.

We spend a lot of time hiking along the South Platte River in Colorado. Outsole that protects your feet from stones and offers great comfort. The only downside for me is that I don't have enough ankle support, but my ankles are my age (60 years old) so I don't think this will be a problem for younger people.
