I bought this applicator bottle specifically to store oils (a mix of castor and coconut oil) for my weekly hair regimen. I find it much easier and cleaner to do my hair care routines with it. I've never used an applicator so my only problem was getting the product out of the bottle. I took off my red hat but there are no instructions on what to do afterwards. I had to use a safety pin to pierce the tip to get it out. I'm not sure if I was adopted for this, but I did.

Exactly what I was looking for! I color my own hair and love the applicator bottle that measures in ounces so I can measure my product in correct proportions. That's great. This is in increments of 1/2 ounce at a time, making it easy to measure out any amount needed.

Would have been five stars but the bottle wasn't pierced. I only found out when it was time to use it in the hair shower, I was so disappointed and confused when nothing came out of the bottle. I ended up getting a knife to poke a hole in the top of the bottle and now it works. Also, make sure you look for the red cap in your package. I really like this bottle. Other reviewers complain that the tip has to be cut off. I like the fact that I have to create an opening. This allows me to control the flow rate myself. I have very dry scalp and needed something to apply hot oil product to without making a mess OR using too much product. I actually just drill 2 holes in the tip instead of cutting the tip off. I will buy more for other purposes.

As advertised. With a red lid to close. Doesn't leak. I use mine with oil on my hair. The only thing I didn't like was that it took a bit of work to cut off the top and it ended up with a slightly jagged edge, so take some sandpaper to sand down the jagged edge. This can get caught in your hair, making it a bit difficult to oil your scalp. There are also measurement markings on the side.

This is your standard applicator bottle, it does the job well. The bottle is sealed like any applicator bottle, you have to cut off the tip yourself. I suggest cutting as high as you can until the hole is as big as you prefer. This bottle even comes with a red cap. Although I wish the lid had a handle on top - I've had a few tight calls when I lost it in the sink. The writing on the bottle is engraved, not black (like in the photo) - a Sharpie can decide that.
