This saves my newly restored spruce floor

We have refurbished our spruce floor after 20 years and we knew how easily furniture can damage this soft floor. I could only get 1 7/8 inch round wheeled mugs at major hardware stores and these 2 1/2 inch square wheeled mugs from Revain arrived two days early and matched the large wooden legs of the table base perfectly. The table can now be easily moved if we need to re-center it while adding sheets, without damaging the floor or its new surface.

Weak Plastic: Building Materials

Needed to protect my wooden floor from heavy TV cabinet legs. The inner surface of the roller plates, on which the legs of the furniture rest, is made of thin plastic. Can rotate them from corner to corner with ease. The weight of the closet will definitely split them in half. Instead, I used them for a lightweight cabinet, and the cabinet legs slid right out of these wheels when the furniture was moved. Can't see them being effective for their intended use.

2 1/2" Softtouch Square Carpet Furniture Wheels Saved the Day. After my landlord installed my new hardwood floor, I didn't know what would happen if I moved my bed away from the wall to return his bedspread daily. To my horror, I saw scratches on the wooden floor. Although my bed has casters, they scratched the floor. Their carpeted casters put me in front of one costly deduction from my deposit for scratches.

Some slip is best in building materials

I put them under my sofa legs to protect the vinyl plank floor. As other people have mentioned, furniture legs tend to slip out of cups. As long as you don't move the furniture too often, it should work just fine. Unfortunately, I often move the sofa to clean it. I bought 2.5 inch squares because of the shape of the sofa legs. As it turned out, the legs had little metal caps, so I could have gone for a much smaller square that could stay in place better. 3 stars because furniture legs often…

No more monkeys jumping on the couch!

House renovation. Thousands and thousands invested in new floors. Worn shag carpet, stained carpet, old dog hair carpet, two layers of vinyl in the kitchen and a cracked, water damaged hardwood floor in the dining room. Felt floors on everything, highlight rugs under the table and couch. However, this is not a problem for a 4-year-old girl who jumps on the couch and makes her Olympic dreams come true. Although we have a trampoline. As you can imagine, those jumps left dents on the floor! You've

Inexpensive solution to protect wooden floors

Good solution for some furniture that would scratch my new acacia wood floor*. It was only a temporary fix for some of the furniture, allowing us to regain use of our family room with new hardwood floors after ripping out the carpeting. But as for the other items, we found these rolling cups were good enough to be a permanent solution since they were hidden and the furniture wasn't going to move much anyway. * Casters on furniture that sits on carpet are completely different than what you might
