This part fits perfectly and works well. The design of the part itself made it easy to install, although the design of my boat required me to stand upside down to get it into position.

Fast delivery, fair price. The original magnets lasted 17 years. They were difficult to replace due to their position in the boat. Decided to become OEM with the expectation that they would not need to be replaced for another 17 years.

Looks/functions like the original. While better suited as a trim relay, I believe it could be used as a starter relay, perhaps on a smaller engine. I have a 200hp Mercury and the starter relays don't look exactly the same although they are also 12 volts.

Perfect solution for our Mercruiser 5.0. Intermittent problems starting and starting the engine, thought it was either a deadlock on the starter motor, started with this more economical solution; ($30 vs $200) and the boat worked great all week on the lake. The solenoid came in a Mercruiser box with the correct part number on the tag, the part inside had a completely different part number than I could don't look up If I need to replace it again I can't cross the part number. Was it a genuine Mercruiser part or a replacement? The solenoid fit and worked, but I paid significantly more than other brands.

I bought 3 different sets of solenoids for my outboard motor. All 3 sets failed in 5 years. I was fed up so I found her. I was skeptical because one reviewer said they aren't OEM but they are! They come in a white box with a real Mercury sticker and the solenoids are numbered and engraved just like the Mercury. I just wanted to reassure people.
