Sonku Restraint Chew Proof Vehicle X Large Review

I bought this because my Aussie likes to chew. He chewed on the last seat belt I had for him. I simply attached this to the headrest and then to the dog harness. Works perfectly. As for attaching it to the harness itself, oh no I wouldn't do that, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except with a carabiner. I would be afraid the dog would step on it and either get loose or get stuck in the leg.

I ordered these restraints for my 15 lb dog. Cairn Terrier so he can ride with me in my vintage cars. They are a good length and seem strong enough for him. I would not recommend them for heavier dogs, they are quite thin. They easily attach to his seat belts. I haven't tried using a seat belt buckle (because they don't work in my car's seat belt buckles), but I've tested it and it snaps into my modern car's buckles.

Love knowing that this will buckle my dog Dingo securely in when he travels with me. He is being trained to be my service dog and he is such a great little guy. His safety is so important to me and I appreciate you being able to help with that. I was frustrated that it didn't seem to fit on some older cars. We have a 1992 Ford F-150 and it didn't catch on the buckle like we had hoped so I got creative :)

We love my husband's newborn product from the animal shelter. Directions would have been nice but we figured it out and used ours around the headrest. Febe weighs 24 pounds and is a territorial Chihuahua mix. Thanks to this set of cables she can ride with her best friend my husband lol. We would not change the product at all. We love the fact that she wouldn't be able to chew it if she did, and it keeps her in her "own zone" of the car!

The price was good and it came as a pair. But I used a seat belt connector with a caribean for my coonhound. This helped her not to fall and jump forward. BUT I wouldn't use a carabiner. As we were driving, my dog somehow stepped on an open Caribbean rooftop and hit her in the leg. Needless to say, this turned into a disaster. We had to turn off the road and try to calm her down to get him out. Which we couldn't. I had to go to a friend in a neighboring town to get some bolt cutters. I do not…

Just received 2 days ago, just in time for some serious trucking. The product seems great and has held up to my 2 VERY energetic female pitties so far. They are allowed to move, but not too much where they risk becoming confused or injured. I would definitely recommend using this product with a harness and NOT a collar as this could put your pup in real danger of choking or, god forbid, breaking his neck in an accident. Even a good slap on the brakes can cause injury when used with a collar. So

The first thing I did when I received this was unplug the seat belt connector and I suggest you do the same. One of my dogs used to step on a seat belt latch in the right spot to unlatch the other one I had. NOT GOOD. I was looking for something more permanent for a dog that hates a leash and doesn't like being tied down. She's a rescuer, so we have no idea what her life was like before we took her. She resists being on a leash, but it's necessary for things like trips to the vet. We bought her
