Not a bad product, nothing extraordinary.

I tested it to the fullest, To be honest, it does not justify the price, it lathers at 2.8 and quite strongly. at 3.5 already "Qin. ", HA almost none, very heavy. here is a video showing both strengths and a chart on aperture: ? v=8Ezo6QE9ucs&feature

I did my best. on camera and photo

I wanted to love this lens, I really loved it. I have a Sony Zeiss 135mm f1.8 and I thought this lens would be the perfect complement to it, but it's not. Contrast was quite high and colors didn't appear as vivid as the Tamron SP 15-30 lens, not to mention the Sony lens was more expensive and didn't have vibration control.

Absolutely normal. Although for the price.

Very well made. I give one star because of the value for money. Too expensive for what it can do. I won't be knocking on AF as I'm using an adapter for my Sony A7. In fact, you can only use the center focus. Many other AFs have been disabled due to the lack of AF on the adapter. I thought the adapter was meant to complement my already pretty good autofocus on the A7, but it doesn't. Instead, you are limited by what LAEA4 can do. With the fold-out LCD screen, I like getting wide-angle shots from

Great lens but expensive

I am quite happy with this lens although the price seems high. It's sharp, well-built, close-focused (about 4 inches from the front lens), and wide. It resists glare fairly well, but not completely; and lens distortion is minimal and easily corrected with software. The lens is heavy, although not as heavy as it could be if the barrel were metal rather than composite. Focusing is mute, which is a bit disorienting at first. It has good center sharpness wide open, but I've seen evidence that its…

Great for some uses

Like any new toy I get, I want to use it ALL THE TIME. I love the lens. I find that this isn't the ticket for most of my needs BUT when I need it nothing else will do. Particular strengths are interior shots where you want to capture the whole crowd, especially small spaces (like you were about to remodel a SMALL back room and take photos) and of course landscapes. I've found my whale lens to be about as good for the finished shot when the scenery isn't on a large scale - i.e. the size of a…

Excellent wide-angle zoom lens

With the 16-35mm f2.8 lens, Sony/Zeiss has introduced another high-quality lens in addition to the professional 85mm f/1.4 lens Sony SAL-85F14Z 85mm f1.4 Carl Telephoto lens Coated Zeiss Planar T for Sony Alpha DSLR 135mm f/1.8 Sony SAL-135F18Z 135mm f/1.8 Carl Zeiss Sonnar T Telephoto Lens for Sony Alpha DSLR and 24-70mm f/2 8 Sony 24-70mm f/2.8 Carl Zeiss Vario Sonnar T zoom lens for Sony Alpha Digital SLR cameras. The only alternative to this lens is the rare and coveted Minolta 17-35mm f3.5
