A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

I use it in conjunction with a7m3. I consider this lens extremely successful for Sony: light, fast, accurate, strong constructive. At the same time, it is not very expensive for this class. I had "field" tests at mfw 2022. Despite the fact that I switched to Sony just before the event (with fuji) and have not yet really got used to the system, I consider the results to be extremely successful. Now, after several months of owning a lens, I am even more convinced that I made the right choice by…

Pros
  • Light. Compact. Fast in focus.
Cons
  • Short tripod leg.

I expected mediocre quality, but it was a pleasant surprise.

Rented for a week for a trip to France - he survived exactly half the trip. Broke in half. Upon returning to 2022, I had to pay about $300 for repairs - in addition to the rental price. At this price, the build quality is disappointing. The second thing to note is that of all the "gray" (in color) Sony full frame telephoto lenses, this is the only one that does not support Sony teleconverters. For myself, I concluded that it’s better to save up for 100-400 GM, and maybe something else…

Pros
  • sharpness Not too heavy
Cons
  • Build quality.

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

I have to admit that I use this lens the least in shooting. However, when it comes to shooting a wedding, for example, with a second photographer or shooting sports, nothing beats 70-200. Some pros: Fast focus in conjunction with the Sony A7Rmark2. Very effective image stabilizer. High image quality. Here I mean both the color of the resulting image and its high detail. Quality build. In this case, there are no questions about the assembly, body materials and lens coating. For two years of use,

A good quality product, I rate this purchase perfectly.

An excellent lens, I did not expect from such a low aperture, such a picture and, in general, the operation of the lens. Satisfied with purchase! With its pros. First on the first is the picture, I really like this lens. Lightweight enough to focus quickly. In general, I like everything) Got cons: This is not a drawback, but my wishes) Sometimes I want it to be lighter)))) But this is a completely different lens and more money!

It was very difficult to decide between Sony 70-200 GM F2.8 and Sony 70-200 F4. When I got my hands on these two lenses (which is impossible when all you have is a spec sheet or a video review) I realized that I had NO WAY to hang a GM lens around my neck. It's just too hard. I could not use a GM lens on a tripod as tripods are not allowed for travel and school events. The 70-200F4 is so much lighter and less painful to hang around your neck or in your hand that it was the obvious choice…

Only $1400!

I ended up returning it as it should have cost me over $4,000 to switch to Sony Full Frame. :(However this is a very nice lens and has THREE focus hold buttons. All of this can be adjusted. For different purposes. LONG! Longer than Canon's 70-200 F/2.8 for example. And not that heavy but most of the weight seems forward Comes with an aluminum cover (not plastic!) although not as sturdy as the Canon F/2.8 but probably the equivalent of their F/4 70-200 Looks pretty amazing, especially on the…

  • Looking forward to

  • Unfashionable

Something Good: Camera Lenses

If you're looking for a lightweight telephoto lens for your A7, this lens is for you. Image quality is good and f4 is good for most reasonable lighting conditions. If you plan to use it to do wedding photography, you'll be constantly switching ISO to aperture. Fortunately, the A7 does a good job at higher ISOs. And now my complaint. I took this lens with me for my first shoot a few days after receiving it. I had the lens on my Canon 5D III while doing this or that. I grabbed the Canon and the…

It's the perfect travel lens

I'm from the Canon side. I went full SONY with the 7D and this lens is on par with Canon L lenses. The image quality is perfect for the a6000. It's 'just' a 200mm and 'just' an F4, but significantly smaller and lighter than the Canon 100-400 and cheaper than the 200mm F2.8, it's the perfect travel lens. Two A6000 cases, an E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS and this lens fit into a small carry-on along with a laptop and all accessories. I used to have a 7D with a 100-400 and another lens in my backpack…
