The BDP-BX510 is quick and easy to set up

The BDP-BX510 is quick and easy to set up. This is my second Sony Blu-ray Disc player and it has even more apps than my first player. Since I have a Samsung Galaxy smartphone, I tried the Samsung Blu-ray player first as I thought the apps on the Samsung smartphone could better manage the streaming to the Samsung player. I found streaming from my Samsung Galaxy was not that convenient after setting up my Samsung player. Samsung was a refurbished device bought elsewhere and didn't play Blu-ray. I

Meets my needs

This Blu-ray player has all the features I need plus many other features that I don't find valuable. I bought five of these units for a church and they do just the job. I'm not a fan of the cheap plastic body or the player's oddly geometric top, but the main issues were reliability and ease of use. My guess is that the BDP-BX510 comes with an HDMI cable, while the identical BDP-S5100 doesn't. I believe the BDP-BX510 will mostly be sold in wholesale clubs while the BDP-S5100 is for retail. Great product but it ages quickly!

This is a great product but Sony doesn't update it regularly. I think Sony doesn't provide adequate support to keep all their products up to date, new services are coming out all the time and it comes with the same service by default and the updates are doing more harm than good. This product from Latin America does not live up to the expectations of anyone like LG or Samsung to name a few brands. This is a total lack of subtitles when streaming video from a cell phone or media center. If the…
