🧹 Efficient Cleaning Solution: Sony VHS Cleaning Cassette (Dry) (Discontinued by Manufacturer) Review

I should have just brought the VCR over to check. The repair shop's comment was "This will never fix the problem" in response to my mentioning that I bought one of these tapes to fix my VCR's distortion problem. Most of the time heads have to be changed - but they are no longer made. I threw the VCR in the trash and paid another $45 for someone who told me they couldn't fix it.

This product just didn't work for me. Video head cleaning is nothing new to me and I have used many products over the years that have worked much better than this one. In my experience with this product, I noticed a slight improvement after cleaning it and stopped using it. I'm sure that different devices with different amount of cleaning will give different results. I recommend giving it up and getting wet brushed.

Not only did this cleaner arrive earlier than expected, it works great! I ordered two and am ordering more. I have a wonderful son who lives in an apartment building and his films are a very important part of his life. Since he hasn't learned how to take care of DVDs yet, the only thing we can get him is VHS. Weekends - but I have to use it every weekend when he comes home. It's worth it! As VCRs get smaller, support products are disappearing. While I prefer "wet" head cleaners, this "dry" version works very well and should extend the life of our "tired" VCRs. being obsolete is cruel!
