📻 Enhanced Sony DSXA415BT Digital Media Receiver: Bluetooth & Satellite Radio Connectivity for Optimal Performance Review

This was a good deal compared to other units. However, there was no voltage on the blue wire that supplied 12 volts to the remote control to turn on the amp when the unit was on. I had everything set up and didn't want to fiddle with the return, so I added a relay that turns the amp on with the ignition switch. Very disappointed that this new device did not work properly right out of the box.

Blue tooth works well. I replaced my original Sony with Blue Tooth but lost some functionality. The Sony original had a volume control. I liked it very much. It's not like this. It also had "Rear Bass Boost". Not this one. No bass response. Now today I need to look for a small subwoofer to add bass to the radio. Also, the USB only plays 265 MP3 songs. there are 285. Sony makes a good product, but you need to study them first.

Good device, simple interface. Not all bells and whistles are included, but the sound is excellent. From the good: decent sound, flexible equalizer, good looks. Bad: Bluetooth connectivity is a nightmare. Random disconnects, and while you can voice dial, view call history, etc., you have a 1 in 20 chance of downloading the phone book. When loading, each contact was assigned an incorrect phone number. I hooked it up today and am absolutely blown away by the sound quality, the way it reproduces the sound is amazing. stand out high and low. I'm not a music lover, but even I can see how good these Sony things are. And about navigating the buttons - just spit. It took me 5 minutes to get used to it. Good basic car radio with no frills. The tuning sensitivity is damn good and probably better than some modern car radios. (eg Sensitivity adjustment, SNR, .) I soldered a Sony wiring harness adapter to my Ford car, it made it easy for me to change radio stations.
