A must-have for Sony A7s users with Nikon lenses

If you want to record video on the A7s during the day using S-Log2 and have some Nikon glass, you NEED this adapter. When using S-Log2 on the A7s, your lowest selectable ISO is 3200. Shooting wide open during the day or anywhere with lots of light at this ISO would most likely result in a completely blown out shot. With any other mount adapter, I’d have to stop down the aperture and/or use a faster shutter speed to get a decent exposure, both of which would change the look and feel of the…

Sony A7s must have adapter

I own an A7s and I'm pretty stoked about this adapter after about a month of ownership. Changing lens' is so much easier than if I didn't have this adapter. I like to shoot weddings at a T stop as wide open as 2.8. This adaoter gives no vignette ing and no X across the glass face until it gets to the darkest setting. The darkest setting is useless but it has a lot of leeway before that. The shots compared to no adapter are surprising sharp which was my biggest concern. The aputure ring is super

the screws started to come loose and it almost looked like it was going to fall apart

So here's the thing -- after about a month and a half of using it, the screws started to come loose and it almost looked like it was going to fall apart. I got a eye glasses repair kit (I was on a job traveling at the time) and tightened them up and all seems well. Great product. Works well

Great product. Works well. The ND will have X pattern at higher stops of ND. The product came dirty and had to be cleaned. It adds bulk to the camera and lens combination, making it less portable!
