This unit was purchased to replace another (non-Sony) undercounter clock radio with similar features. The remote stopped working on the old device and we couldn't connect radios to it. We chose Sony based on previous experience with their audio and video products. After reviewing several models, we settled on this model based on feedback from other customers on how well they received radio stations. We were not disappointed!
