Fixed my TV after two and a half years of inactivity :)

Fixed my TV but I don't know if it's just a TV or a lamp but I have a little pink stripe on top but It's an old TV so I guess it's not a lamp that's making it pink

Pros
  • Looks good
Cons
  • Almost everything is there

Burnt out lamp after 4 months

Burnt out old Sony Wega 55 inch bulb replaced with this one. Worked great but just burned out today, worked less than 4 months. Main TV in living room. Luckily I saved the old lightbulb, put it back in and I'm back watching TV.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Do not buy for video projectors and accessories

This was a Christmas present for a TV repair so it wasn't installed until the 26th December. It worked fine initially, but after a few days the image quality started to flicker not so well. It also has a colored bar at the bottom of the screen. And the news about changing the lightbulb was on TV again this morning. Poor performance!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Style 90

works great just don't need to dope fprget clean 1st

I got it about 6 months ago for a 55 inch Wega I got for free from CL and it's very easy to install and didn't have any problems. However, I suggest the b4 pops one in to grab a vacuum and a rag and pick up as much dust as possible, otherwise you might end up with a tiny speck of dust on the lens that shows up as a blue or yellow line on the TV.

Flat and Faint Image in Video Projector Accessory

Image is Faint/Flat. Not the saturation of Sony. I get a replacement PHILLIPS. LAUGH OUT LOUD-! Even my Insignia TV has better picture quality. If I couldn't afford better quality, this would be acceptable. Little did I know that Sony would make inferior products for their devices. Worth exploring for $19.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Expensive

works like an old lightbulb

We bought this lightbulb in January and it says only April and it is already dark. The TV is set to full brightness and it's still too dark. It was brighter when we first put it in, but then it behaved like it had worn out and took forever to focus and turn on. I would like to keep the old lamp, at least the brightness was better.

Pros
  • so far I am satisfied
Cons
  • will write later
