The photo shows everything that has arrived. No blades, no case. And I wanted to use it for sourdough bread today. I can't even use it.

Yes, it works. I no longer have to unsuccessfully chop the dough with a knife. I confess I'm a beginner baker and this has made my baking life 1000 times easier.

I give 3 stars because of the ergonomics of the tools. The curvature of the blade makes visual and physical alignment difficult while cutting. Your hand pulls the straight tool one way and the curved blade pulls the other way, leaving a very lousy line on the dough. The construction feels solid, but overall the design could be better.

Good slice of bread, very good price, many blades included. I don't regret choosing this one, but the blade slipped off the metal bar several times while slicing through the bread. Now I've found his trick, so to speak, and it works great. I use my index finger to secure the blade in the top corner (on the opposite side, of course). First purchase of this style of cookware. I'm a new baker. The silver cap that rests on top of the hilt - the end where the blade sits - immediately shifts. The cap slid along the length of the handle. A little glue was used to fix it, not the inconvenience of reordering or returning. As I have never used other brands - consider the dough cutting ability to be normal. Nice thin blade and seems to clean well - different condition than before, still looks good after several washes.

First, the "picture" instructions were so small and fuzzy that it was a guessing game that cost me a razor cut on my finger. Also, the leather case is pretty tight and if you plan on keeping the blade in/on it will be difficult at best to fit in the case, the razor just unhooks. I know the price is cheap but the instructions are awful when someone who has never used the item has to try and put it on properly, so sharp and such. I've recently started baking and the book I'm looking at said to buy one of these, which I did. But it's just a razor blade on a handle. Razor blades like a coin. You pay a lot for a stick with a blade. If you have anything remotely decent knives, you already have sharper sticks. There is no advantage to using one of these over other razor sharp items. Perfect for slicing the bread my wife baked. She used it for a while and when I asked if I could try it she gave me one of those suspicious looks.
