I really like the short withers. As a result, the cushion leans very well over the horse. I also bought another pad from another company that was cheaper but much better than this one.

Sounds good, but it's too complex and tough. I couldn't use it on my horse so I sent it back. It was just a piece of thick fabric that would not follow the shape of my mare's back.

Desiccant bladders are more durable than the classic Biofit horse mat. The classic equine biophyte bladders are like memory foam and sink down when the saddle is in the saddle. These pad bladders are more durable and better hold the saddle forward.

The cushion does the job of giving my Belgian the right freedom at the withers without the saddle tipping back. Also goes great with my saddle! Very stylish and does what I need. Fairly stiff out of the box, just needs a bit of riding to make it fit my horse better. So far, so good!

I can't say enough good things about this mat! I have a gelding with appendicitis and hollow muscles on either side of his high withers. My saddle tended to fall forward and I wouldn't risk sitting on it. Since I switched to this pad, my saddle has been straight and my horse has been comfortable. It is of excellent quality and ideal for everyday use. The color option allows me to have fun with the color without overshadowing my horse.

Bought this panel for a horse that needed a little more air in the shoulder area. It's a harder, less flexible coat than say a 5 star branded feed, but it's still good quality and works great for my horse. I feel like it fits better in a 7/8" last even though it's a 1". Completely satisfied with the product. Worth the money if you currently can't afford to tell CSI it's built that way.
