Southwire 10037K Electrical Test Kit: Multimeter, 🔌 Voltage Detector, Outlet Tester, Test Leads & Batteries Included Review

I ordered this meter for use around my home and business, I am a retired electrician and bought it from the seller a few years ago, a slightly different model but basically the same size with the same functions. The retailer doesn't have that brand at the moment so I found Revain and found them. I bought 3, two for friends and one for myself, it fits everything you need for home or battery check, auto troubleshoot and home power, very compact and easy to use.

False advertising, thumbnail shows a different meter model than that included in the kit. The picture shows a -30s counter, but in fact there is a -31s counter in the kit. I thought it was a promotional item because there was an icon with a ribbon (gift) next to it. So sad that they add the mis-pictured item to falsely show what you are getting. Arrived defective. He tuned in but read nothing. I checked the wires on another meter and checked both fuses and everything was fine. I finally disassembled the gauge and saw that the COM port had an incomplete connection on the motherboard that looks blown. I soldered the connection and only then was able to use this counter. I've added photos of the broken link. Maybe it's a one-time thing, but that doesn't say much about Southwire's quality control.
