Specially used as hygienic scissors for opening packets of home brewed yeast. The scissors broke in half after three uses. They were used to cut a packet of yeast. 3 times. Then they broke. I have disinfected two other scissors in the house with the same disinfectant solution and they are still intact and working.

Great value; These scissors will not even cut paper or plastic bags. The metal is very heavy but it cannot cut anything and buying these scissors is a waste of time and money. Bought these shears when they were only a few dollars, now they're $10! It's a bit expensive. I bought two pairs of these when they were cheaper and used them to cut cardboard for my compost bin. They worked pretty well for about 2 months but when they tried to cut through the paper they just folded the paper instead of cutting through after the abuse I had pierced with these scissors.
