If you are looking for a great addition to your Jeep that will add some extra light then this product will definitely do the job while looking great at the same time. The only suggestion I would make for the installation is that if you can't connect the cables or if you've never done it before, don't try it or find someone who can. The wires you need to connect are very small and you don't want to accidentally cut the wire completely.

This product comes with no installation instructions or references. Visiting their website doesn't come with any instructions either. The light has bare wires and requires you to connect it to your existing lighting system, but WHERE? HOW? My Jeep is now a month old and I don't want to bump into its wiring or poke holes in the tailgate. I really regret buying this item. Don't waste your time and money with this stupid device.

The light ring is bright and looks great when used with the stock 3rd brake behind my spare tire. I originally bought this to replace my third factory brake when I get my 35" tires. I ordered a plug and play spare wheel light. The installation went smoothly with a few problems. I suspect the updated model added a sheath around the positive and negative wires. This resulted in the wire being too thick to easily run into the standard third brake light bracket. I removed some and it got better. So it definitely took me over 15 minutes but it wasn't that bad. I have a 2018 JLU and wanted to completely remove the stock third brake light. To do this you'll need to remove the spare tire, disconnect the 3rd brake light, and then remove the spare tire holder to release the wire holding that pesky plastic piece in place.
