Revolutionary microcontroller module for hobbyists

This tiny module is a game-changer for anyone interested in tinkering with microcontrollers. The integrated OLED display is a great feature that makes it easy to debug your code and track status information. The small form-factor of the SparkFun MicroView means that it can easily be integrated into a wide range of projects. On the downside, the OLED screen does require some coding expertise to get the most out of it. However, overall this is a must-have component for any hobbyist working with…

Pros
  • Easy to use and program
Cons
  • Requires some previous knowledge of programming and electronics

This is a really good Arduino form factor

This is a really good Arduino form factor. Since the display is built into the Arduino, it is compact and reliable. The blue OLED display is sharp and bright. (I think it's easier to see than similar white OLED displays). I had no problem programming it using the example code. The rest of the board worked as expected. I have ordered more for other Arduino projects.

Pros
  • 64x48 pixel OLED display, ATmega328P
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Works best in single board computers

This is a great little microcomputer with a display. I used it to launch a foam dart gun. It works perfectly and the display is easy to read even in direct sunlight. I love this item.

Pros
  • 26mm x 26mm x 10mm compatible with Arduino IDE 1.0+
Cons
  • Upgradable
