Well designed and built

Very impressed with the overall finish. I will be using these to connect multiple devices on my boat and disconnect the cables for quick plugging and unplugging to a 12v power supply. I would buy them again without hesitation.

They fit well and do their job.

Used to attach to the end of the battery clip connector and then retrieved from under the hood for quick connection to the battery holders. This means I don't have to open the hood to charge or service the batteries. The polarity seems to work correctly.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • poorly thought out

Much better than expected

High quality cables! I cut mine in half for my project. The wire inside is very thin stranded tinned copper. It's definitely 10Ga. The jacket is very soft and elastic silicone. If I could change the design I would connect the positive and negative wires together.

  • Slim design

Yamaha Grizzly 4 piece plow

Just what I needed for my 4 plow project. Used them to power the auxiliary winch. Works great, good quality connector. The line insulation is soft to the touch but still works great. Having stubs is also a nice perk when they're not plugged in. We highly recommend using a crimping tool on your tail ends!

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Functionality

The cable does not appear to have copper wire.

I cut mine and the wire inside is not copper colored. Not sure what it's made of. Looks and feels more like aluminum but I don't have any test equipment to verify this. The insulation is nice and thick and the wire inside actually seems thicker than other 10AWG wires I have (copper inside). So it's probably electrically equivalent to 10 AWG copper in conductivity, but the extra wire gauge and insulation prevent me from using these wires with the connector I intended to use on one end. 4 of them

Not as advertised Best in parts section

Please correct me if I'm wrong but the wire in these 2 pin quick connectors is tinned copper not just copper. While tinned copper might be better as it's more resistant to corrosion (according to Google), I bought these with the understanding that the wire would be bare copper and not tinned copper. This tinned copper is very thin (like hair) and wears out very easily, making it difficult to splice or join wires. When you try to strip a wire, you can't help but cut off part of the tinned wireโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Check the cable for defects

The first cable received had notches in the jacket near the connector strain relief that were deep enough to reach the core. I decided to replace it instead of just returning it, hoping it was just an accident and not a manufacturing defect. To my disappointment, the new cable left the same tool marks as the first cable, in the same place, albeit not as deep. My guess is that the device/tool used in the manufacturing process accidentally cuts the soft silicone when gripping. I have checked theโ€ฆ
