A crack formed in the center of the plastic (see red circle) which created enough water pressure behind the metal cover to loosen the cover and not reattach it. I was pleasantly surprised when this new shower head arrived at my home. The previous unit was functional but had such a small trickle that showering in our upstairs bathroom was undesirable.
