great for hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing

Screws onto a 1-1/4" positive displacement submersible pump to pump out my pool. The flat hose that goes over the barbed end of this fitting is actually a 1-1/2" hose. I almost bought a 1-1/4" hose because it made sense initially, but after some thought, a 1-1/2" hose 2" is what you need.

Pros
  • Tube Fittings
Cons
  • No Auto

As expected

What can I say? It threads and hoses perfectly and has withstood a few months of abuse. This is on a pump that gets moved, pushed, pulled, etc. a lot. This fitting is definitely not a weak point and will outlive the pump and hose it is attached to.

Pros
  • Hardware
Cons
  • A small change

Usable but damaged when received

The item will work for my purpose but the choice of 'fitter' was poor. The product had a damaged rib on the outside of the fitting. If I went to a hardware store to pick up this type of hardware I would return it if I didn't need it and it wasn't the last one in the box. If you have paid for new goods, they must be free from defects.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • Disappearing
