Luckily aluminum is soft and I could.

I had the same problem as the previous review, the tubes didn't fit the holes. Luckily the aluminum is soft and I was able to cut off a small amount of the material with a pocket knife. Also, in the packaging, two of the four plastic seals that are attached to each side of the O-ring were broken. I used spacers which were good and sealed well. If you buy this heater core, be ready to improvise a little.

Rework required

Significantly cheaper than a factory replacement. Looks nicer than factory. The problem is that the heater core tubes have to fit into the holes on the end tank. After a good 15 minutes in sub-zero temperatures trying to screw them in, I stopped. Went in, took his calipers. The old heater core was .7505 inches in diameter. .7050"Tomorrow I have to go to the store, buy a 3/4" drill, drill out. Your choice if the effort costs money.

The problem with this heater core is that the .

The problem with this heater core is that the holes in the core are smaller in diameter than the heater tubes themselves. No matter how hard you try, it won't fit. You can replace the heater core by enlarging the holes, but doing so will void your warranty and introduce a risk of leaks. After investigation, the manufacturer recalled this part with lot number 199. So if you see 199 under part number 99292 it doesn't work. I don't know why it's still on sale if there's a recall on this part.
