Solid product that's easy to use

Made for a right hand drive car but I was planning on wrapping it in air dry clay anyway. Reliable product that is easy to install

Bad threads that break easily.

This is a great grip until you try to install it as it strips the threads and I only hand tightened it, I'm not a tall or exceptionally strong guy.

This gear knob suits me

I bought this gear knob to replace the 4WD gear knob on my Kioti tractor and it works very well. There were many stream adapters out there, none of which worked for my application, but I ended up installing it. This handle is chrome plated, not aluminum, so will likely get hot in the summer and cold in the winter when used in a car. Anyway, works great for my application; Received quickly and the price is right. Enough said.

ok but the lock is tight on the fingers

The Specter-T handle looked really nice on my Mazda3 (car) but the downside is the hex nut that holds it in place ( the one you use to tighten below). the handle in place) fits snugly around your fingers when you grip the handle. it scratches the sides of the fingers. This hex nut may need to be replaced, possibly with a round nut with 2 flat sides so it doesn't scratch your fingers when shifting. Overall, the T-handle looks cool and adds flair to your car.

Great shift knob, a little improvement

I really like the T-handle but it's a great big cooler. It's hot in the summer and my hand is frozen on my old Hurst shifter in the winter. I made a leather glove for this and now it's perfect! It had a proper threaded adapter, and since it goes through a solid metal shifter, it feels a lot more accurate than the OEM (or any other rubber-mounted knob). Now I really feel what the transmission is doing when I shift. The ergonomics of this pen are great too! It just fills your hand perfectly!

Update: Don't buy the best of Shifters & Parts

Update (04/17/19): So another reviewer hit the nail on the head. This is an OLD (2003) defective product. The adapters are the wrong size, the locknuts are not mated to the adapters, the threadlocker was leaking everywhere, and the "brushed aluminum" description is wrong (it's actually chrome plated).
