Came already programmed for our cable box

The remote control came already programmed for our spectrum box. Also included is an instruction manual that lists numerous accessories with the code needed to program the remote control. We were able to add our audio receiver. Now we can access the cable box and change the volume with just one remote control.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are problems

The "Settings " button is different from the "Settings " button.

If you think you can program this remote to skip forward or backward while watching a recorded show, then you can't. The "Settings" button on the remote is not the same as the "Settings" button that you can use to program the remote to pass. In fact, pressing the Settings button on my remote does absolutely nothing. Other than that, and the skip feature is what I wanted it for, it works well.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works great and very easy to program.

Works great and was easy to program. Took me less than 3 minutes including reading the instructions which are clear and simple. For years we suffered from slow and intermittent connections from the Time Warner Cable (now called Spectrum) remote control. I was reluctant to make an appointment with a technician as I found them to be incompetent in the past. So for $13 I decided to give it a try. It's a real miracle, at least for me, to have a remote that actually works on my system. I recommend…

Works with Motorola cable box with easy setup

I need a replacement remote for my Spectrum Motorola cable box and although the Motorola box is not listed in the description (only Scientific Atlanta/Cisco and Samsung are mentioned) , I don't care, I decided to give it a try. After getting the remote I tried a Motorola box and it didn't work. I looked through the detailed printed instructions and didn't immediately find a solution, but fiddling around I noticed some very basic setup instructions on the remote's battery cover. I followed these

Works with old Motorola Charter Spectrum boxes

My 10+ year old duck stuck together with a Charter/Spectrum remote has finally roasted. I chose the console because the Motorola cable box released by the charter still works and I would have to pay $10 more a month for a new one. Spectrum also wanted to charge me for a replacement remote and they tried to get me to buy a new cable box. Long story on why I haven't cut the cord yet, but paying MORE for their outdated gear isn't on my list. The price of the remote was affordable, programming was…

The problem is that the user does not select a new cable code to

At first I was concerned that part of the cable did not respond as quickly as my old remote (same type). But I kept searching (cbl +ok and ch down) until it turned off my box. The one he chose with the channel up was the slower one. Channel down, one quickly dialed the other. The paper instructions worked well. I used 3 digit codes for my receiver, Blu-Ray and TV. I also used macro instructions to create 3 custom channel buttons (Shift/Mode is now TCM, News is now NBC and a Prime Time button is

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options

The perfect duplicate of the Spectrum remote control!

Works as it should, exact copy of the unit I replaced. I used to have a TWC which is now called the Spectrum and it's the same remote they last came with my Motorola cable box/DVR. It also works well with my Sony Bravia HDTV and Sony Blue Ray/DVD player. Priced at just over $5 with Revain Prime 2-day delivery, it was a steal compared to the hassle it would otherwise require (turning off the road in traffic, parking, definitely wearing a face mask, then waiting in line inside) The Spectrum is…

Incredibly easy to program. Hooray!

I hated the thought of buying a new remote but my old one died quickly and no amount of new batteries could bring it back to life. I honestly had a panic attack at the thought of programming. I've done this before and it was incredibly frustrating for me and I figured I'd have the same problem this time. I wasn't ready for a miracle. But I did it myself. First try. no sweat As you'd expect, there was a paper insert with a little printed guide to look up your TV model and try to guess which of…
