Disappointing Performance of Industrial Drill Bit

Based on my experience, the Speedbor 88716 2000 Shank Boring is not up to par with the industrial and scientific standards that I have come to expect from a cutting tool. While the design looks promising, the actual performance fell short of my expectations. One pro of this product was that it arrived in a timely manner. However, the con is that the bit is not durable and dulls quickly, making it difficult to achieve accurate and clean cuts. Overall, I would not recommend this product to fellow

Pros
  • Efficient and fast drilling with reduced splintering
Cons
  • Requires a specific chuck or adaptor for use

No hole in paddle tip and no cutting spurs

I've been wanting to use this drill bit for drilling holes and pulling in phone cords, but without a hole to connect the cord it's useless for that purpose. Also, it doesn't have "double-edged spurs to contour the outside of the hole and reduce breakout" as advertised. I think I will send it back. Photo #1 is the actual piece I received. Photos #2 and #3 are from the advertisement.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Useful for drilling holes in old (unhealthy) stumps and.

Suitable for drilling holes in old (unhealthy) stumps and small trees about 10-12 inches in diameter. Anything healthy gets rough and can cause problems that others have with heat and breakage. Of course, the healthier and larger the trunk of the tree, the harder it will be to push through, but be patient and watch the heat build up and it will work.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
