Also, the rods are flat which causes them to slip off the sewing awl. The stems should have some texture so they don't slip easily. To sum it up, they are way below average, I don't recommend them at all!

We used our Speedy Stitcher for boat tarps and fiberglass. The original needle broke and we bought these 3 packs to replace the original stapler's broken needle. This method works well for repairs, but the needles are expensive. Although cheaper than a replacement the type of repair is not professional but works until we replace all the tarpaulin and fiberglass covers. Now we have at least three needles in case another one breaks.
