Sper Scientific 736930 Barometer: Accurate Weather Forecasting Device for Precise Measurements Review

I am very surprised at how accurate this barometer is, especially at such a low price. It's not as fancy as some of the more expensive barometers, but it's exactly what's all that matters if you want a good barometer for weather forecasting.

Second order of this barometer. The first didn't work at all; I have followed all the instructions completely. I installed it right next to my very old 30 year old barometer and watched it for two weeks. There is no needle movement at all. After I returned the first and received the second, I set it up the same as the first. This time the arrow went up with pressure and never stopped. Meanwhile, my 30-year-old barometer bounced up and down twice in two weeks.

I am surprised by other reviews. I'm getting fairly accurate readings compared to online readings from nearby weather stations and am impressed, especially given the accuracy of the labels displayed. The instrument is very light, but I don't see it as such a responsibility that I hang it on the wall and periodically take it off to calibrate.
