The seller shows a newer model than what he brought.

I ordered an extra one that I have been using for 4 years. Good product. Easy to use and gets the job done. The problem was with the SELLER. They advertise a newer model but deliver an old one with dead batteries. Old great, just wish the seller was more open or specific in their description.

Very inaccurate - do not buy!

I bought this item twice thinking it was a bad thermometer on my first purchase. Come and discover that the other one is also extremely inaccurate and jumps all over the place. If you measure the same point a few seconds later, you get a completely different and inaccurate result (40 degrees Fahrenheit off/off). Don't buy this, trust me.

    Extremely inaccurate device

I bought this thermometer for my house maintenance. Unfortunately it is so inaccurate that I have to buy a new one. I changed the batteries (yes, it has two). I am very familiar with using these thermometers so this is not user error. I like the form factor as it's easy to carry and hold, but not very useful if your thermometer isn't actually reading temperature.

    • Checking, measuring and testing
    Cons
    • Available in white only

    It's just a laser pointer.

I have owned it for several years. Recently updated batteries. I've tried cleaning the IR Fresnel lens with some kind of cloth, getting extremely variable results, the sensor reads 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit, high or seems to stay within 2 degrees Fahrenheit for everything else. I figured the 6 thermostats in my house fluctuated between 1 and 5 degrees, no Sperry's that bad. The case, the design, the electronic components in general seem to be of high quality, apparently there is a design flaw…
