Two useful tools in one.

I'm a home inspector. I used to carry a network analyzer with a GFCI test button. I also brought a separate non-contact power tester for weird tangled wires, broken outlets, and things you should try not to touch. This dual tool and my little glowing lantern fit perfectly in a trouser pocket. The work is a little easier, so the work is a lot better. I used one of these for a year with the same small tablet battery. It disappeared from a previous job, so I replaced it with a $5 cheaper Revainโ€ฆ

Outstanding 2-in-1. Check the battery polarity carefully.

Works great when the Li-Ion battery (included) is properly installed. There is no polarity indicator so I figured polarity might not matter. It did not work. I was going to send it to Redbox for a refund but figured I'd flip the battery over to check. It did. The illustration shows the correct polarity - (+) to the live tester probe. Other than that (one star deducted) it's very light and ergonomic, easy to use and I love the fact that I have the tester on the opposite socket. the end.

Probably the best options

Crazy "button" battery is NOT included and there is no battery polarity indicator on the unit so you'll have to guess. device to work. Other brands stay on for a while when you turn them on, then turn off automatically after a minute or two. Not as sensitive as more popular brands (can't read if you hold it to the face of an active switch or outlet). I ran a parallel test. So it works, but you need a custom battery and it doesn't work as well as the others for a number of reasons.

Good but could be better

This is an attractive tool and seems to work well in the limited range of tests I have used. Number 1. It should come with printed documentation, not with the silly excuse that it's green. If you want to be green, don't use plastic packaging.2. The attached note says that there is no battery, but the battery is included and easy to lose when unpacking.3. The specified battery is LR44. It comes with a different battery that works but is confusing.4. The battery cover requires a very smallโ€ฆ

Sperry DualCheck Non-Contact Voltage Tester & GFCI

Looks like a good quality voltage tester. I love that it's a 2-in-1 tool with a GFCI outlet analyzer on the other end. I can't wait to use it today. Hopefully this answers my prayers as we have had a small issue updating the light switches in my house and have been living in the dark for the past few days. I will update this review if anything interesting happens. Update: This unit jumped a hot wire which the electrician's tester picked up with no problem. I haven't used a GFCI parser andโ€ฆ

Not suitable for testing low voltage compared to household voltage

I really liked the thing, I like its form factor and that's why I think it's easier to test sockets with it, and also a useful larger one Range . Unfortunately, the non-contact tester operates at low voltage, which makes it practically useless for this purpose. As a home inspector, I often have to check bare wires to make sure they are high voltage and should therefore be removed. A tester that lights up even at low voltage doesn't help at all. I've never had this problem with voltage spikes. I

Approved by Professional Home Inspector (with changes)

I am a Home Inspector and this is my point of sale tester because my customers can read it easily enough and it is clearly visible in the photos , because you don't have to decode 3 light codes from more traditional testers. Green = good. I also find the green traffic light easier to read and just need a quick glance and then I can move on to the next socket. It's very efficient with my time. Although the non-contact voltage detector is extremely sensitive, it helps me a lot to determine if the
