Pioneer two-way photo album

A few years ago I transferred photos from old photo albums so that they all match since I take so many photos. I love the quality of these two-way Pioneer albums. The main feature is that both vertical and horizontal photos are inserted into the slots on the sides. No more flipping through photo albums for images that go both ways. They hold up to 300 photos, making them great value for money, plus the fact that they look like large, attractive volumes on a bookshelf.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • without car

Spend more get better quality

I bought this because it was cheap so can't complain too much about how cheap it looks and feels cheap. However, I complain that it seems so fragile that I doubt it will be usable. When I filled the pages with 300 photos, the weight of the photo pages had just lifted from the cover. As long as it's on a shelf or laying flat it'll probably be fine, but I can't help but think that if it's held upright for a while (e.g. while walking around the room, sitting down and Look at photos) there is a…

Beware of strong chemical smell

I bought three of these Pioneer photo albums and when I opened each I smelled a strong chemical smell. I decided to air them out to see if the smell goes away and so far I've kept them by an open window for about 8 hours. The smell has of course become less intense, but it's still there. If it doesn't go away I'll send them back. I have 20 of these Pioneer photo albums that I've bought since about 1990, but bought the last two in the mid 2000's. I would buy them at craft stores or camera…

Pros
  • Aged gold embossed faux leather cover and round spine with matching color PHOTO ALBUM emblem
Cons
  • Expensive

Excellent performance; Handle with care

I have ordered 3 dark blue photo albums. Came individually wrapped in cellophane. The description didn't state that the albums would have a clear heavy vinyl book cover, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that they came with a protective outer sleeve. The album cover appearance is the same as the picture and it feels solid and durable. The photo pages are easy to use. I like that there is space to mark or write details about each picture; This makes it a much better way of looking at photos…

Pros
  • 3-page album for 300 photos up to 4" x 6"
Cons
  • No automatic printing
