After 16 months of intensive use I have to say that the cap is still on my balance bike. It matches my blue Ford Fiesta perfectly due to its color, but it wasn't until a month later that one of the blue foam started to come loose. At 16 months he's losing a lot more but I'm still impressed. For the price this is a good buy. I would just go with something more reliable if you have the money.

I've only had this on my handlebars for a few days and I love it. Yes, I had an odor when I bought it, but I didn't notice it while driving. I applied it the night before so maybe the smell is gone after X hours? It was convenient to get in, but it's good. It goes nowhere when you turn the steering wheel. The steering wheel coating has a strong rubber smell. It smelled really bad the moment I opened the box and since then I've washed the blanket, put it in the sun, left it outside to air and nothing has helped. It fits nicely on the steering wheel of a '99 Honda Civic. It has a good grip and looks good. In the last week or so, after putting a hubcap on the car and driving a lot with the windows down, the smell started to go away.

It seems that I bought it 6 years ago and I still have it. I live in Southern California. and just recently it started to fade, a blue color, and recently there was a crack in one of the blue stripes, but after such a long and very hot summer, it lasted much longer than I thought. The only downside is the hot summers, I can burn my hands depending on how hot it is outside (just because my car isn't in the garage), so I use gloves when driving.

The material causes or has the potential to cause cancer and a person puts it in their hands every time they drive. No thank you. If a person buys it from a store, at least they can see the warning label. Revain doesn't broadcast this which is unfair and might not matter much, it might just be California protocol to follow for California made hazardous materials, but I personally don't want to spend all day touching something that could cause reproductive harm .

1. Winter is fine, but when the sun starts to burn everything in late spring and summer, blue gel pieces turn into pockets of lava. When I first saw the steering wheel cover I was surprised at how good the quality was. This case was only $9.99 and exceeded my expectations. I've posted a few photos of what the cover looks like. The picture they have doesn't do it justice. In the picture it looks black and the blue looks very light. But actually the cover is really gray and a person's blue is much darker. It has an odor but not unpleasant. More like a new open scent so I don't know what other people are complaining about…
