Must be with bike rack

Bought a bike rack and saw it didn't lock. I would suggest this comes with the bike rack as you will need this to attach the bike rack to your vehicle.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Failed with Tacoma 2021

Threads and pin diameter are compatible with SR racks but the PIN LENGTH is too short and therefore the lock cannot be activated on the 3rd generation Taco which has a very standard 2- Customs receiver configuration. , belated design choice.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • There are issues

Will not fit 2017 Tacoma

I was trying to fit this to a 2017 Toyota Tacoma pickup with a 2" receiver using a SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack SR2415. The screw is too short to fasten. about 1/4 inch shorter than the included washers. Even when I removed the washers, they were too short and wouldn't close.

Pros
  • Very Good Price
Cons
  • Damaged

Purchased to fit a CURT 18086 hitch mounted bike rack. Works without problems. The lock cover is the only issue I have, it just opens all the time, not enough friction to keep it closed. I expect this will become an issue over time as the locking pins are exposed to the elements.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Clarity

That piece of shit doesn't work!

This lock is a piece of SHIT! I bought it and installed it on a SportRack Ridge Swing 4 bike rack and the first time I pulled it out it immediately popped out. I figured maybe the screw wasn't sticking out far enough, so I removed the washer from the screw and it immediately popped out. It's useless and I want my money back or a working lock! It only needs 5-10 pounds of tension to release it from the pin!

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • repair

Large hitch lock pin

I have a Nashbar Shadow DLX rack (4 bikes) and I lost the hitch bolt and swing lock. It looked the same, so I decided to try it - guess what, it's the same and works great. Also threads into the Yakima Bighorn clutch perch. Only downside is the key cover doesn't stay in place when closed and that's not Ft Knox's level of security, but for occasional medium deterrent / anti-theft protection it's ok - overall I'm happy

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • old

I didn't hear the lock click like I did before installation

After installing the lock, I didn't hear the lock click like I did before installation. I had to turn the lock about 90 degrees for the lock to work. After that he was taken care of. I think if you were to leave the washer or the washing machine the lock would work just fine, but I've decided to leave both on. The lock cover doesn't stay in place like other people have mentioned. I put tape on the lid to keep dirt out of the keyhole.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Compatibility

I liked the lock - External accessories

I liked the lock. It works and the locking mechanism is smooth and fits, but after years of using the hitch mounted bike rack the top of the bolt is gone and the rest is stuck in the hitch. The bolt must have snapped off, and there's still about an inch that won't come out. I'm not sure how to even get it. It's possible the wobble caused the click and a sturdier mount would have left the bolt intact, but it looks like a clean click, which is odd because it broke a part in the hitch so I feel…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Perfect match for Acura MDX

Easy fit. I am using this lock on a factory 2014 Acura MDX hitch. The lock doesn't really fit, except for the odd corner pointing towards the ground. It also fits at an upward angle, but you can't put the key in the lock. I tried to bend one of the keys a bit to avoid hitting the car's bumper and the key just broke. Don't worry I could always use the rest of the key and needle nose pliers to open it from the car. Next time I'll use the bottom position option so I can use the remaining key until

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • I vaguely remember
