A&R Sports Blade Shield Review

Bags as advertised. and they match my skates perfectly. The large size fits my size 7 women's figure skates. I was surprised because from the description I thought they were larger (possibly too big). However, they fit well. However, I would look for a larger size or a clearer manufacturer if your skates are much larger than the women's 7.

Full disclosure, I'm a 30 year old female from Texas who just started learning to skate so I probably wouldn't tell the difference between a good pair of skate guards and a bad one. Although they are definitely doing their job! I wear kids size 3 skates and the medium size fits perfectly snug although they seem to stretch to fit a few sizes up with no problem. The price was right and I liked the wide range of fun color options.

Skates fit well (I bought a few different sizes as I had 3 different skates). All are true to size. You still need to dry the blades before putting them on or the blades will rust (no reason for a 4 star rating). My 4 star rating is because my son (a hockey player who skates several times a week) already has a hole in them and only uses them 1/2 season. With frequent use, you will therefore have to change more often.

I'm new to figure skating and recently bought a cheap pair of skates that seemed to fit my street shoe size. I don't really know anything about shoe sizing or the vamp of quality skates and don't really understand the comments of other reviewers.
