Material seems to hold up but as some other reviewers have pointed out A&R needs XL and maybe even XXL. The blades for the figure are longer than hockey blades. The large size fits perfectly on size 9 Bauer hockey skates but not on size 10.5 Jackson figure skates (blade 11.5) so I bought them. They return. Please make the A&R size larger and upper limit in the size chart!

We received 4 pairs - one for all. They are properly sized based on the standard blade size. So if you know your skates have larger blade sizes, increase the size based on the blade, not the shoe. These things are tough, two of us have deep U-shaped channels on our blades and they make them very sharp, but they don't cut through internal tissue. (The blades are LS TI Pulse and are sharpened every 10 hours of ice play so they can do damage.) Definitely recommend.

These are great blade covers. They're built pretty well, feel solid and look good. The seams are clean and precise. The rubber is strong. The nylon on the bottom is pretty strong and will definitely stand up to some abuse. We have a few sets and haven't had any problems with them. 2 year update: still works.
