High bandwidth filters. on shower heads

I had a plastic model of this and it was much more flow restricted than this model. This metal model has a longer showerhead thread for a better seal. The satin nickel also looks great and is of high quality.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Protection

Covers all bases.

Does what it should and looks good. The polished nickel finish matches standard brushed nickel hardware and is unobtrusive. It has a low profile and only adds 3 inches to the length of the spout and showerhead. Water flow is restricted, but no more than typical flow restrictors. For me a good solution for hard water with chlorine.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Difficult to say

This is the most beautiful and built-in shower filter

It is actually metal with a fine finish. My only real complaint, but a major one, is that the KDF filter is rated for chlorine, not chloramine. I emailed the company about plans to combat chloramine as more and more municipalities move away from using chlorine alone. They didn't answer. The filter oxidizes, but I can't say whether it binds pollutants.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • So far so good

Brass or Chrome is much better than plastic Model

We have been using Sprite filters in our showers and my parents' for at least a decade. They do an excellent job of removing chlorine. The polished brass model and this chrome-plated brass model are well made and easy to open, replace the cartridge and close again. Much better than the cheaper plastic model. Over time, the Sprite's plastic model becomes difficult to open for cartridge replacement and is prone to leaking.

Do your homework on thin models vs high capacity models

Just a note = manufacturer should include sizing charts for this model and its high capacity models = this model has a recessed female fitting that has a male Faucet from shower requires holder design at least 1.25 inches = my shower arm is rectangular so won't fit = called the company and they recommended a larger capacity (also need a chart on this listing) which I will order and pretty sure that it will work. / 2 inches, so don't get skinny

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • lots of stuff

Amazing craftsmanship!

This is an amazingly precise piece of solid metal. I couldn't be happier with that. Looks like an engine part. The thread is clean and tight, the outer surface is clean. I have Satin Nickel and it goes well with Kohler Vibrant BN and Danze BN. It's harder than hell! And of course I don't like the itching and flaking from all the chlorine in our water. I've been a Sprite fan since my first purchase 3 years ago, but this is the best so far! Worth every penny. And it's nice that the kit comes with

The cartridge only lasted 2 months with minimal use

the filter started leaking a little less than 2 months later. I remember reading somewhere about lubricating the seals inside with petroleum jelly, so I decided to see if that would work. It was VERY difficult to open the filter but I managed with a rubber grommet. I pulled out the filter, checked the cartridge life and found that it was already black and needed replacing. Only 2 people shower in this bathroom and not every day so I was shocked that it already needs to be replaced. There was a…

helps with iron water but needs to be replaced more often

update: I've been using it for over a year. The filter housing is holding up well. Looks just as beautiful as the day it arrived. I have to change the filter every three months because a biofilm of iron bacteria has formed in the water. However, my shower head works fine and my water is great. Before I bought it, I would have ruined the shower head for a year because the holes are slowly clogging with a biofilm of iron bacteria. My beautiful nickel satin shower head, which I bought around the…
