Thing is a beast. Blasted the OSB subfloor and concrete slab like they were nothing. I also chewed on my thick ceramic tile quite a bit, but decided to save it for the future and finish the job with a chisel. Although sparks fly from the surface of the tile for about 30 seconds, the teeth are still sharp. I'm sure he'll make Cinder Blocks and Bricks more than once, maybe a lot more. I'm assuming the mandrills are a standard size because they fit my Dewalt mandrill perfectly, so thanks for not…
I bought this to cut holes in concrete blocks. I'm telling you, this is an AMAZING tool for the purpose! I stood on the stairs and worried about how much pressure I would have to put on the concrete. I'm not kidding when I tell you that I used moderate pressure with an 18 volt cordless drill with a porter cord and pierced both walls of the block on one charge in less than 20 minutes. The holes were smooth and very clean. The pilot drill worked great and the core plugs popped out with ease! I…
Not bad. Continuous. Rough cut because it only has about 6 teeth instead of 30 or 300 so it grabs and tries to pry the drill bit out of your hands (worse than many of the big drill bits I've used). Spin this bit at high speed and hold it away from the material for a smoother cut. Because you have to run it at a higher RPM to smooth it out and compensate for the small number of teeth, it will grab hard when it seizes and stop suddenly and abruptly mid-cut. Hold it firmly instead of pressing on…
