I want to start by saying that I really like this stone. For the price, this thing really beats its weight class. Ceramic cuts through metal quickly and doesn't bleed, and I no longer have to soak it like I do with Naniwa stones. The only problem with this stone is alignment. These Spyderco stones are great. I have all three, medium, thin and ultra thin. I would say they are best for experienced sharpeners. Neither of them are particularly aggressive, so you might get frustrated trying to bring back a very dull knife. You will want to add something more aggressive to your kit.
