Description of 🥮 SunGrow 4x4 Inches Floating Feeding Ring for Goldfish & Smaller Fish - Ideal for Flakes and Floating Fish Food

✔ ENCOURAGES PICKY EATERS TO EAT MORE --- Some fish are more finicky than others or maybe a bit more shy and do not want to eat with the other fish. The SunGrow Floating Fish Feeding Ring allows you to feed specialty foods to the pickier fish while sprinkling standard floating fish food to the general population of fish. It won’t take long for your finicky fish to quickly learn that the square fish feeder is where to find their supper. ✔ RESTRAINS FISH FROM BEING BULLIES --- A great way to restrict fish in a community tank from being bullies is to use multiple floating feeding rings. Fill one square fish feeder and allow your more aggressive fish to dash over to eat. Once they are occupied, add floating fish food to a second feeding square for the more timid fish. Bullies can’t hog all the rings, so add as many as you feel necessary so all your fish can eat in peace. ✔ LESSENS DEBRIS BY KEEPING FOOD CONTAINED --- By placing your pet fish’s food directly into the feeder square, it restricts the flakes and pellets from floating into the filter. A clearer aquarium filter is far more effective at keeping your tank’s water at a higher quality level and diminishes excess debris throughout the tank. ✔ FITS PERFECTLY IN A FISH TANK --- At a convenient size of 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm), the lightweight Square Feeding Ring for small fish from SunGrow is constructed of high-quality plastic. It comes complete with a matching black suction cup to hold it securely in place. You also have the option of allowing the fish feeder to float freely along the surface of your freshwater tank or saltwater aquarium. ✔ SAVES FISH OWNERS’ TIME AND MONEY --- Effective and creative, the Square Feeding Ring for your neon tetra, guppy, and goldfish is fantastic at saving money on excess food, maintaining high-quality water and reducing filter clogging. Placing your flakes into a specified area means that you can control the dispersal of food and more is eaten and less is thrown away. Less stray food and filter clogs allow you to spend less time tank maintaining and more time enjoying with your pet fish.

Why didn't I buy this sooner.

Wish I had this a long time ago. I stood by the tank and threw in pellet after pellet until my beta decided he was done eating. The filter stirred the top water and let 30% of the food through. I got this in the hope that it would save a headache and wasting food in the aquarium. That's great. I add a little pinch and he just stays in the ring and eats. Now it's rare for a bullet to fly down.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Hard to say

Keeps the feed inside and doesn't spill it straight through the filter

This is great for carrying fish feed so the filter doesn't spread the feed before the fish have had time to eat. For fish (tetras) it is not a problem to know that food comes here. The only downside is that the lever is fixed so it doesn't adjust to where you want it, but moves based on the amount of water in the tank. I want the arm to be 1/4 inch shorter.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Crumpled

The edge is sharp, dangerous

I have a breakwater so food spills everywhere. This product seems to make food float in the box. At first the fish bite quite hard over the edge of the square. I thought I hope he doesn't get hurt. This is because the floating lining is attracted to the edge of the square. At the 2nd feeding Oscar scratched the edge of his head. It was a big wound. I took it out right away. Poor thing, now I have to recover from an injury. I do not recommend this product as it is dangerous for your fish. I…

not the best option for my male

This feeder is fine if you plan on lifting the entire tank cap to feed the males as when I fitted mine it was too wide away from the feed door. This was due to the rod connecting the feeder and suction tube. I also noticed that the edge is a little jagged on the side you have to lie on. I was afraid my fish would swim against him (which he did) and hurt himself. I fixed it by turning it upside down, but that just doesn't work. Food sticks to his sides and he can't find it. I ended up buying an…

Nice to have, although bigger fish will eat the food.

Does its job well! I had no problems sucking up against the wall and it matches the feeding hole in the Aqueon's tank cap almost perfectly. I also like that it moves with the water level, it's very well designed in that regard. My only issue is that food that doesn't go in the hole sits on the top rim and gets messy. I have to make sure I clean it (every time I do a water change). I also have problems with my larger fish because they are all sitting in one place. So my 4 platys will eat the…

He's tall, he works, he helps the fraternity eat peacefully.

It definitely works. I put them in our Betta Sorority tank and they help feed us there. In the picture it looks like a float that he has attached to a suction cup with string; it is not. It's definitely some kind of plastic stick - hard - so it's pushing the "ring" (which is square, w/e) away from the tank wall. Then the "ring" itself is large enough to fit an adult Splenden rooster (2-3 inches with male fins). Overall we're talking about quite a bit of real estate considering most men live in…
